Vote your favorite design for Hypatia III’s mascot

We are looking for a very special mascot for Hypatia III, will you help us?

During the parabolic flights campaign, we need a very special mascot: a zero gravity indicator (ZGI). The role is key: when the airplane is performing a parabola and we reach weightlessness, the mascot will start floating inside the airplane’s cabin, visually indicating that we are in zero gravity. This mascot will not only fly but it will also become the official mascot of Hypatia III’s crew, traveling with them to the Arctic Mission in the summer of 2027.

After an intense selection period with over 200 fantastic designs, we need your help to choose the winning mascot!

Estela

Estela és una estrella exploradora que viatja fins a Mart amb la tripulació per ajudar en la missió. Representa la intel·ligència, la valentia i la il·lusió per descobrir coses noves. El seu vestit espacial li permet investigar, flotar en gravetat zero i acompanyar les científiques en els seus experiments. El llaç simbolitza la igualtat i recorda que les nenes també poden arribar molt lluny en la ciència. Estela mai té por perquè sap que aprendre és una gran aventura. Amb la seva llum, il·lumina el camí i demostra que, amb esforç, curiositat i somnis, tot es pot aconseguir.

Narvil

Nosaltres creiem que ha de ser la mascota d’Hypatia perquè és un animal que viu a l’Àrtic i és molt original i curiós. També creiem que pot ser una bona mascota perquè hi ha gent que no coneix aquest animal, el narval, i així poden descobrir un animal nou. Li hem posat un casc d’astronauta, una samarreta amb el planeta Mart i una mostra d’experiment. Està apunt d’explorar l’Àrtic, per saber més coses de Mart. És molt especial perquè creiem que és curiós i divertit. Per això ha de ser la mascota d’Hypatia.

Helia

L’Helia es una ploma, lleugera i divertida, preparada per anar l’espai i experimentar l’ingravidesa. Per trobar el nom he pensat en els globus, que plens del gas Heli, floten superant la gravetat. A més al ser nom de noia, serà una integrant femenina més. Els seus tons blaus son com els vostres uniformes i també representa Catalunya amb aquesta petita senyera en el cinturó. Porta el vostre logo en el pit

What is the prize?

  • The winning mascot will become a reality and will be part of the experiments and the Hypatia III mission.
  • The winner will have the unique opportunity to attend the preparation of the parabolic flights and meet the Hypatia scientists at the Sabadell Airport.
  • The winner will receive an official certificate of space collaboration, the 3D-printed mascot, and their design will be published on the official websites and social media networks of UPC, IEEC and Hypatia Mars.
