GOAL #1
Advance space-related research across diverse academic fields in a Mars simulated environment
GOAL #2
Ignite curiosity and inspire young minds to explore space through science and outreach initiatives
GOAL #3
Empower women in STEM to break stereotypes and amplify their impact and visibility
Analog Missions
Hypatia Crews perform two-week expeditions to the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS), a Martian analog station. During these simulations the crews engage in space-related research and simulate a day-to-day on Mars.

Research Projects
During an analogue mission, the Hypatia crews conduct space-related research in multiple academic disciplines to assess the feasibility of future missions to Mars.

Outreach Activities
Our team creates initiatives that engage society in space exploration and inspire future generations—especially girls and other underrepresented groups—to pursue STEM careers.

TEAM
Hypatia Mars is a female-led organization composed of a multidisciplinary and intergenerational team. Each member has a unique personal story, a strong academic background, and a deep passion for space and the exploration of Mars.

A science outreach project by the Hypatia Mars Association that aims to bring Mars closer to Catalonia by engaging school students with the fundamental question: “Is there life on Mars?”
