The feature-length documentary Women on Mars, which recounts the Martian experience of the Hypatia I crew in the Utah desert (USA) in 2023, has received seven awards at film festivals around the world:

- Hollywood International Golden Age Festival (Best International Documentary, 2025)
- LA Independent – Woman Film Awards (Official Selection, 2025), Los Angeles
- Area51 FilmFest (Semi-Finalist, 2025), Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Planet Cinema New York (Semi-Finalist, 2026)
Directed by Ana Montserrat Rosell and produced by B23 Films, RTVE, CaixaForum+, CSIC, and Hypatia, the documentary premiered on 19 June 2024 and is available to watch on the RTVE website.
The aim of the film is to show what the 15 days of Hypatia’s first mission at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) were like and to highlight the role of women in space exploration, inspiring future generations of women scientists.
