Qi Gao holds a dual Ph.D. in Sciences of the Universe, Environment and Space (Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier University, France) and Hydrology (Ramon Llull University, Spain). She specializes in satellite remote sensing, focusing on ground deformation monitoring and high-resolution soil moisture mapping using SAR and SAR interferometric (InSAR) techniques. Currently, she is a researcher at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), contributing to national and international projects addressing environmental and infrastructure resilience challenges. Her academic and research journey, spanning China, Germany, France, and Spain, has strengthened her appreciation for the importance of diversity and inclusion in fostering collaboration and innovation across the STEM fields.
