B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, AOCS Engineer at Airbus
Cesca Cufí Prat is an aerospace engineer specialized in space systems. She graduated in Aerospace Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Spain) and obtained a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, specialized in Space Systems, from the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE-Supaero, France). She has eight years of experience in the field of Attitude and Orbit Control Systems (AOCS) at Airbus Defence and Space. During this time, she has been involved in all phases of project development, from conception to flight hardware testing, contributing to a wide range of missions including telecommunications satellites, Earth observation satellites, interplanetary probes, and constellations.
She is currently responsible for the simulation infrastructure and the generation of onboard code for AOCS at Airbus Defence and Space France, a key role in ensuring the quality, robustness, and reliability of attitude control algorithms before their integration onboard. She works in close collaboration with multiple teams to develop calculation and simulation tools that enable the validation of algorithms and the assessment of mission performance across different operational scenarios. In a highly complex and multidisciplinary environment, this role requires both strong technical expertise in AOCS and solid skills in software development and project management, as well as excellent communication and coordination abilities.
