Back-up Crew Engineer

Helena Arias Casals is a mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and physics student at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the Universidad Nacional de Estudios a Distancia (UNED). She has participated in various research programs for students such as Joves i Ciència (Youth and Science) from Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, or the International Science Summer Institute (ISSI) from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. She is currently working as a student-engineer at Alba Synchrotron and has collaborated with the Department of Physics at the UPC doing research on PT symmetry in acoustic resonators. She is also developing her start-up Light Pills. She combines her studies with her sporting career in Olympic shooting.
